8 Weeks of concentrated game production with a team of skilled students from across demark. Here I made all Sound Design & Music myself. I also made the Wwise project and the implementation of sound.
The Fool was a minigame project I worked on alone for 3-4 months. I did all the coding, sound design and music for that short period.
A Short Film Directed by “Asta Mai Dunweber”
In the movie I used a combination of surreal synthetic sounds & the orchestra to create friction, tension and release all at once. This worked well with the ethereal piano combining the different sound into a convincing score.
Fox and the Whale is a short film made by “Patch of Orange”. I used the film as an inspiration for my entrance exam at Sonic College (2021).
When composing for any media be it a dynamic film or a standstill rock. I try to figure out where to place the pressure. With “Fox And The Whale“, I quickly noticed the difference in scenic composition. Therefore I scribbled down some melodies for The Forest, The Beach (specifically the crabs on the beach) and for the mysterious dream world. Having sounds or leitmotifs helps me define the different places that the fox visits.
I am an advocate for Orchestral Music, and whether it is working with the sample libraries, or musicians directly I find the orchestral sound to be extremely versatile.
It can be challenging to capture a scene, but using simple tricks as a Flute playing Flutter when birds are on the screen, or having the Harp accentuate a transition into the dream world, shows how natural the orchestral sound can feel.
An educational challenge, was attempting to learn and use spatial audio objects with Dolby Atmos in composition. I did so by working on a small game, which is designed to showcase to possibilities of surround sound.
